2014 Chevrolet Impala: The new 2014 Chevrolet Impala is roughly the same size as the Buick LaCrosse, and it shares a 111.7-inch wheelbase with that sedan. Design cues include a power-dome hood, sculpted body sides and pronounced rear fenders that pay tribute to Impalas from the late ’60s. The wide grille brings a new look to Chevrolet sedans, one that has some Camaro influences in it as well as a resemblance to the just-revealed Traverse crossover.
The new 2014 Chevrolet Impala is set to offer a choice of either GM’s 3.6L V6 gasoline engine or its recently revealed 270-hp, turbocharged 2.0L four-cylinder. Shortly after the 2013 Impala’s official debut, we expect an eAssist version will likely be available for those in the Elgin area. Fuel economy estimates for the 2013 Impala have not yet been released, though they can be expected to remain close to, if not slightly higher than, the current model.
