The sports coupe is more inspired by the Corolla AE86 generation, better known as Hachi Roku, which means “8-6? in Japanese. Inspired by the AE86, 2012 Scion FR-S is built around a core objective of “clean balance sheet,” which begins with the strategic investment firm boxer engine 2.0-liter front-engined, rear wheel drive configuration.
